WHY THIS MATTERS

Every student deserves to know where to turn after experiencing sexual assault, sexual abuse, dating violence, stalking, sexual harassment, or image-based sexual absue.

Too often, survivors remain silent because they fear they won't be believed or don't know where to find support

Phoenix Ambassadors help change that

By raising awareness, sharing resources, and creating a culture of compassion, they help make it easier for survivors to seek support and know they don't have to navigate healing alone.

NOT COUNSELORS. POWERFUL CONNECTORS

Ambassadors are not direct care advocates or counselors.

Instead, they serve as trusted peers who raise awareness, foster supportive campus communities, and help build a campus culture that is equipped to respond in a trauma-informed way long before someone ever reaches out for support. By making resources known, accessible, and easier to navigate, Ambassadors help lower barriers to seeking help and ensure students know where to turn and can quickly connect with the appropriate advocacy or community resources when needed.

HOW AMBASSADORS ADVANCE OUR MISSION

The Phoenix Ambassador Program is an extension of Phoenix's mission to advocate for women who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, dating violence, stalking, sexual harassment, and image-based sexual abuse.

We believe advocacy begins long before someone asks for help.

By equipping student leaders to raise awareness, foster trauma-informed campus communities, and make resources known and accessible, Ambassadors help lower barriers to support before they ever exist. They are helping create campuses where students know how to respond with compassion, where survivors are more likely to be believed and supported, and where everyone knows where to turn when advocacy or additional support is needed.
